The Wizards (and their parents) enjoyed an entertaining, if chilly, match at Bath CC vs the Bath Sabres girls team.

Once again, our bowling attack really performed well, keeping the girls run rate very low and putting a lot of pressure on them to score. They ended with 61 runs, with the boys knocking that off in 15 overs.

We ended up playing out the remaining overs to allow the girls to all bowl and the boys to all bat, which is really in the spirit of why we are all encouraging our kids to play the game.

I was especially happy with the way that the boys were all trying to do what they have been learning (some of them learning it in the 30 mins prior to the game!) and to play together as a team. If they keep trying like this, they will really see the benefits later in the season when their confidence grows.
